The Run is quite stunning in full HD, even if it is 30 fps (if I disable V-sync to unlock the framerate, sand and snow thrown up by cars goes much higher and wider than normal, making those sections of the game pretty much unmanageable.

And Extreme Difficulty is the perfect challenge for veterans. Especially the time trials.

While I'm sure it's not a picture perfect recreation, it makes me want to visit Yosemite.

A couple nights ago I didn't think I could pull it off, but after beating NFS The Run on Extreme difficulty, my last personal goal for that game was to get my in-game time under two hours. After downloading an offline save file with all cars unlocked (since trying to do the same with mine are very impractical or even impossible nowadays), I gave it another shot, and lo and behold:

Every time a new Need For Speed game is announced, I find myself going back to the one game they've been unable to top. It'll be turning 17 years old next month.

Got it heavily modded and running in 4k now. This is gonna be good.

After uninstalling Battlefront II, I bought a 13-year old game of yours for full price because it's still one of the best arcade racers around and isn't infested with microtransactions.
